The entry-level 540P is a high quality Moving Magnet design featuring single-ended "Class A" gain stages and discrete transistors instead of the more common integrated circuits. This gives less cross-talk and interference across the signal path. The 540P employs an active RIAA equalization system. The rear panel benefits from gold plated input connectors to minimize signal path interference and reduce surface degradation. An external power supply comes as standard.

Extending the functionality of Cambridge Audio's critically acclaimed integrated stereo Azur amplifiers and AV receivers it the 640P phono preamp. The 640P features a highly specified moving magnet stage, as well as the higher gain needed for compatibility with high-end Moving Coil (MC) cartridges. This model features single ended "class A" gain stages and use discrete transistors instead of the more common integrated circuits. This gives less crosstalk and interference across the signal path, with both designs delivering high gain and linearity. Tthe 640P uses passive audiophile RIAA eq, the optimum type for phono stages thanks to its complete lack of phase error. The 640P also uses superior amplification circuitry for its MM and MC stages to provide the lowest possible distortion and noise. In addition, this flagship model employs multi-parallel capacitors to achieve exceptional RIAA accuracy of +/- .3dB up to 50 kHz. It also features a defeatable subsonic filter. This combination of technologies offer a hugely dynamic, involving and open sound.

The NAD PP-2 is a great product; for years it has ruled the roost among MM/MC preamps. But our new TC-760LC aims to change that. Additional features like an output level control, ability to connect MM and MC turntables simultaneously (selecting between them at the push of a switch), and selectable hi/lo MC input inpedance make the TC-760LC the better value; superior specs make it the better choice as well. A price way below the NAD provides the frosting on this particular cake! Now available in either black or silver finish.

The Yaqin tube buffer is based on the 6DJ8 / 6922 tube and is guaranteed to add the magic of tubes to any system without adding any significant noise or distortion. The Yaqin tube output stage can be added to any system; perfect behind any digital player, in a tape monitor loop or between your preamp and amp. Turn your IPOD, CD or any other affordable digital player into the tube-hybrid player of your dreams. Add it between your amp and preamp or into a processor or tape loop and hear every single source component come to life in a spectacular way.
Marvelous for Multi-Room Multimedia Parasound's upgraded Zpre2 version of its hugely popular Zpre isn't just a tweak, it's a genuine breakthrough. Despite its small size, and despite its low cost, the Zpre is quite simply one of the best Parasound preamplifiers ever made. And that's saying a lot, considering Parasound's reputation for first class audiophile components. The Zpre2 redesign adds even more capability to this compact preamplifier. Zpre2 occupies only half the horizontal space of standard stereo components. But it delivers full-scale audio performance. Use it in small bedroom or office hi-fi systems or even for MP3 playback. A priority input feature makes the Parasound ideal for multi-room or multi-zone systems, too. Two-Way RS-232 Connection The Zpre2's upgrades over the original Zpre facilitate multi-room operation. The improvements start with a two-way RS-232 connection for feedback of key functions. A new auto turn-on by 12-volt trigger locks out the front panel power button, keeping the on-off status in sequence with your other components during IR control. Revised circuitry and layout deliver better overall performance, and an improved auto select priority switching for Input 1 enhances operation and adds a colored status indicator. A 115-volt-230-volt selector switch on the chassis bottom had been added, too. Advanced Power Supply and Volume Control The Zpre2's high-current power supply and low noise circuit deliver ultra-clean audio signals to your amplifier. Full remote control with a high-quality motorized volume control add to the convenience of the Zpre2's compact 'tuck-in' size. And, of course, it's the perfect partner to Parasound's matching Zamp compact amplifier. Priority Audio Input for Multi-Room Systems Four audio inputs and four-source video switching give the Parasound plenty of hook-up flexibility. A priority input connection can be programmed to automatically override other audio video inputs for use in a multi

The Evolutionary Peak Cambridge Audio has taken the Azur 840 series to its evolutionary peak with the introduction of the 840E high-end preamplifier. The 840E uses Cambridge Audio's new proprietary Terrapin modules for unprecedented audio fidelity. A customizable front panel display means tone controls can be selected and stored by nameable input. Volume, input and tone are also all controlled by highly sophisticated relay driven circuits. "Top-of-its-Class Sound" The Absolute Sound Magazine honored the Cambridge Audio 840E with a "Product of the Year Award" in its January 2009 issue. "Even the inputs are nameable. Of course, none of this would matter if the sound was anything other than top of its class, but it is." Terrapin Technology Rather than use common op-amps for the critical low level gain stages of the 840E, Cambridge Audio decided to design its own audiophile amplifier modules. These unique modules have been designed with single-minded dedication to the very best audio performance possible. Two types exist, the TPA amplifier and TPB buffer module, and they are fully optimized for their respective roles. Nicknamed the Terrapins (because of their 10 pins) these modules add yet another dimension to Cambridge Audio's commitment to audio excellence. Specifically, the Terrapin technology offers lower noise and distortion with excellent channel separation. This obviously gives the most natural sound quality possible, coming from a 'black' background due to low noise and with excellent soundstaging due to the isolated left and right channels. Remarkably Accurate Volume Control A sophisticated resistor ladder and relay-based attenuator for volume (1 dB steps) and balance controls allow remarkably accurate volume control with channel balance. Each channel has its own relays and ladder for superb stereo separation and imaging. This kind of feature is normally the preserve of exotic high-end equipment and is relatively unheard of at this price point.
